Melbourne has a temperate climate with a warm summer and cool winter. Our variable weather is warm to hot in summer (December to February), mild in autumn (March to May), cold with showers in winter (June to August), and fresh and clear in spring (September to November). Melbourne has a definite four seasons and we have sometimes experienced them all in one day. You may experience a cold frosty early morning, an autumnal late morning, a clear spring day over lunch and warm afternoon sun - so pack accordingly!!

Melbourne loves Aussie Rules Football, Australia's number one sport. During winter you can witness the excitement and fanaticism of this game at the Telstra Dome, a short stroll from our hotel.

During January, Melbourne hosts the Australian Open Tennis. Play where the champions play! Experience the excitement of Grand Slam Tennis and play on the same courts as the worlds best players or watch the Masters at play at the Melbourne Park Rod Laver Arena.
